WHY THE WONDERMNT?

Wonderment – (n) a feeling of being surprised or amazed

Back in 2014, Kristen and Stephanie met while sharing a surprisingly cold back office at an Atlanta post house. Stephanie had worked in scripted in LA. Kristen worked in live events and documentaries in Atlanta. They found themselves working on TV promos and many, many corporate spots. Stephanie brought in and managed clients while Kristen wrote and produced the spots. It was a good job – just not the job.

Spending as much time as they did together, they quickly learned they had a lot in common: journalism majors, extensive backgrounds in development and music, and both were writers who had been burned. Most importantly, they loved stories and characters with a twist. Three years later, they had an epiphany. “Why don’t we tell the stories we want to tell, and do that for ourselves?” – and The Wondermnt was born.

While writing for hire on a Coca-Cola project, they met Kristin Bitter, a Vice President with a long career in marketing and communications at Coca-Cola. Since taking a buy-out from Coke, Kristin has been working with the Wmnt as a consulting and executive producer, creating and developing new unscripted series. Her brand sensibilities run deep. She’s always looking for an authentic story to tell, and a way to amplify brands along the way.

Stephanie Skinner
Co-founder (EP, writer)
From a small town outside of Atlanta, Stephanie moved to LA to pursue her screenwriting career and wrote many original screenplays and TV pilots, including a book adaptation for Drew Barrymore's Flower Films and Cobra Kai director, Steve Pink.

While writing her originals, Stephanie worked in feature film production, studio development at United Artists then as an account executive for many top LA creative agencies. Her clients included major studios, networks, brands, and gaming publishers (ABC, Coca-Cola, Fox, Disney, Hasbro, MGM, Sony TV, Nintendo).

A natural connector, she is that rare breed of creative who enjoys writing and creating just as much as producing.
Kristen Walter
Co-founder (EP, writer)
Originally from Virginia Beach, Kristen has worked at length in the development, TV documentary and live event production.

From half time and award shows to documentaries and commercials, she has produced content for Coca-Cola, Hasbro, HGTV, Golden Corral, Fox Sports, Google/YouTube, NBC Sports, Soul Train, BET, CENTRIC, and Nike.

She has found with each project she produces, putting together a solid documentary story - and all that entails from finding the right assets to the best way to tell a particular story- can match the adrenaline rush of a live event production.
Kristin Bitter
Consulting Producer
Spent majority of career in ATL at The Coca-Cola Co in marketing until 2 months ago, took a buyout. I’ve got a Masters in Communications and ad agency experience at Ogilvy & Mather. While serving on the NRAEF board, I saw the power of a culinary program whose story had to be told. That’s where I connected with Stephanie and Kristen to bring that story to life.

Fast-forward and I’m now enjoying developing some other projects with them and working as a Consulting Producer on brand integration.
